Coloplast Corporate Cakes

Have you ever wrapped 100 fairy cakes?

A corporate customer of ours called Coloplast are attending an exhibition and the Rep Cath Curran has asked us to provide corporate gift boxes packed with a fairy cake. The cakes were iced in the company colours of blue & gold and decorated with the company logo. Cath is very innovative with her thinking and she has often used our cakes as gifts for her customers there by setting herself apart from her competitors. The cakes supplied will be displayed on a tower stand.

This idea of a small cake, gift packaged in a box will work equally as well as a Wedding Gift/Favour.

La Creme Saturday Night Takeaway - April 19th

Each week La Creme advertise a Saturday Night Takeaway Menu, which is a three course meal that is collected from the shop and reheated and eaten at home.

Perfect for entertaining guests and it lets you take all the credit.

Normally Sian creates the menus for the month and they are posted to our website. Sometimes regular customers will ask her to make a particular dish for a special weekend and provided Sian is given enough notice this is never a problem. We always have alternatives available from our specials board if people prefer to choose something different and vegeterian requests are always catered for.

The menu for Saturday 19th April is as follows:

Starter of Celeriac & Watercress Soup

Main course of Beef Bourguignonne with Mustard Mash

Dessert of French Apple Flan.

All for £12.00 per head.

The menu for next weekend - April 26th is as follows :

Starter : Tomato Tartlet,

Main : Chicken Casserole with apricots & spinach and served with wild rice.

Dessert : Plum Crumble

Ivory three tier Chocolate Wedding Cake

Following on from Sian's success being voted one of the top three patissiers in the UK last September, Sian has been in-undated with requests from brides for her to produce their Wedding cakes. Sian's skill is in working with chocolate and brides looking for more contemporary designs and ideas have been flocking to La Creme to work with Sian to develop their dream cake. Sian's lastest creation was an ivory three tier chocolate Wedding cake.

Wedding Desserts for Margam Orangery

Sian has developed a range of individual desserts for Weddings, Banquets and Corporate events.

Today marks our first delivery to The Orangery at Margam Park. The Orangery is one of the premier Wedding Venues in South Wales and is based in Margam Country Park. The desserts we supplied today were Raspberry Cheesecakes. The cakes had a biscuit base topped with a vanilla cheesecake and finished with fresh strawberries. Take a look at the video to listen to Sian talking through the cake ingredients and look at the quality and quantity of the desserts supplied.   

Sian's recipe for Welshcakes

When the British Baker magazine decided to print a Spring 08 supplement advertising traditional and regional favourites from the UK, Sian was delighted to be ask to give a welsh perspective.

Under the La Creme brand, Sian produces handmade cakes, combining traditional fare with innovative recipes. When it come to the former, there can be no more traditional food produced in Wales then the Welsh cake.

"Welsh cakes are produced by every bakery, market, outdoor fair and supermarket in Wales" says Sian and they were the top seller at Harrods' Best of British promotion.
